Upcoming R.A.D. Class

Upcoming R.A.D. Class -

The Ponchatoula Police Department will be hosting a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class on June 3-5, 2011. R.A.D. is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. R.A.D is  a system dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense/martial arts tactics, although R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. The class will be held at Southeastern Louisiana University (building TBA). Times are as follows:
Friday, June 3 - 6 pm -10 pm
Saturday, June 4 - 1 pm - 5 pm
Sunday, June 5 - 1 pm - 5 pm

No News Is Good News at PJHS

No News Is Good News at PJHS - Ponchatoula Police Chief Bry Layrisson (4th from left) and officers from the Ponchatoula Police Department, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, and ATF were on hand Friday for a "routine sweep" of either drugs or weapons at Ponchatoula Jr. High School. Officers found no contraband at the school.
